On Monday, 17th, the EuroCham Real Estate & Construction (REC) Committee, led by Chairman Mr. Michel Cassagnes (Archetype), wrapped up its year-end meeting.
Key Meeting Highlights & Strategic Focus:
- Recent Event Success: The committee successfully concluded two high-impact events focused on industry’s best practices and public-private dialogue:
- Seismic Risk and Prevention Forum: Held in collaboration with the MLMUPC, this forum addressed Cambodia’s preparedness for seismic events, featuring technical presentations on structural health monitoring, soil strengthening, and comparative analysis of regional design standards.
- Affordable Housing Workshop: This event brought together government and private sector experts to discuss unlocking opportunities and challenges, focusing on the national policy landscape, developer strategies for viability, and integrating green/sustainable design into affordable units.
- Upcoming Flagship Event: Final preparations were confirmed for the major forum, “The Rise of the Branded Residence: A New Era in Real Estate Investment,” which is set to take place today, Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
- EuroCham Business Pulse Survey H1 2025: EuroCham Service Coordinator, Mr. Zandre Van Straten, presented the detailed findings of the Business Pulse Survey, with a particular focus on insights related to the Real Estate and Construction sectors. - Updates on the EuroCode: The Committee reviewed and shared updates on the progress of the Eurocode. We continue to work closely with the Royal Government of Cambodia on the adoption and implementation of these building standards.
