On Friday, 20 March, Mr. Narath Chheav, Chairperson of the HR Committee, attended an urgent meeting chaired by H.E. Mr. Heng Sour, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, to discuss potential measures to ease the burden on employees and employers in light of disruptions to global oil supply and rising fuel prices.
Following the National Council of Minimum Wage’s urgent meeting, the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MLVT) announced a temporary monthly top-up of $2.50 as a fuel supplement/subsidy on top of the existing transport allowance to ease the cost of living for workers, effective from 1 April 2026, applicable until fuel price situation return to normal.
