On Friday, 20 March, Mr. Kenneth Tang, Vice-Chairperson of the Digital and Technology Committee, participated in the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA) workshop organised by the Ministry of Commerce and GIZ.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness of DEFA’s impact on Cambodian stakeholders, including public institutions and the private sector, highlighting both potential benefits and emerging challenges.
During the panel discussion on “Opportunities and Risks Created by DEFA for MSMEs and Digital Startups,” Mr. Tang provided a comprehensive perspective on the opportunities and risks for the ICT sector and shared practical guidance on how businesses can prepare for DEFA.
