The EuroCham Agribusiness Committee convened a closed-door meeting at the SwissContact office on 8 April, aimed at clarifying the range of public incentive schemes available to agri-SMEs. The session was led by Mr.  Charles Esterhoy (IG Intelligent Ecosystem Co. Ltd.) and brought together Committee members for a focused and in-depth exchange on how to effectively access incentives beyond those provided under the Law on Investment.
During the discussion, members explored the current existing incentives, including Qualified Investment Project (QIP) mechanisms, the negative list, relevant sub-decrees on duty exemptions, prioritisation measures for key agro-commodities, as well as sector-specific schemes issued by various ministries. The session provided valuable clarity on how these frameworks are applied in practice and highlighted areas where further guidance or streamlining may be beneficial.
Building on the success of this session, the Agribusiness Committee will continue to organise similar closed-door meetings as part of an ongoing series. Further sessions are already being planned, and members are encouraged to actively participate and contribute to shaping future discussions.
Thanks to Mr. Charles Esterhoy and the SwissContact team for the collaboration.
