This week, EuroCham’s Tourism & Hospitality Committee convened virtually to review its key priorities for the coming months, with a focus on strengthening stakeholder engagement and advancing policy dialogue in support of the sector.

The Committee discussed an upcoming event led by Millennium Destinations and the Cambodia Branding Forum (CBF), scheduled for September. The forum aims to position Siem Reap as a diverse destination for active and adventure tourism, highlighting nature-based, community-led, and experiential travel beyond traditional heritage tourism. It also seeks to strengthen collaboration between public and private sector stakeholders and support broader tourism market diversification. Ms. Catherine Germier-Hamel, Chairperson of the Committee and lead organiser of the event, presented the initiative and expressed interest in EuroCham’s collaboration and support.

In addition, leaders shared an update on the 20th Francophonie Summit, to be hosted in Phnom Penh in November 2026. Discussions highlighted opportunities to enhance Cambodia’s visibility within Francophone markets through B2B engagement, tourism promotion activities, and strengthened public-private collaboration.
