On Thursday, 2 July, EuroCham Cambodia hosted a full house at Shangri-La Phnom Penh for the Breakfast Talk on Trust and Asset Protection to explore how Cambodia’s developing trust framework is strengthening investor confidence and facilitating cross-border investment.
Organised by the Real Estate & Construction Committee, the event brought together representatives from the Trust Regulator, licensed trust companies, legal and tax experts, and the private sector to examine the practical application of Cambodia’s Law on Trusts. Discussions focused on the role of trusts in protecting assets, enabling foreign investment, supporting succession planning, and providing greater regulatory certainty for investors.
A lively panel discussion explored key issues including taxation, compliance, implementation, and the continued development of Cambodia’s trust ecosystem. The floor then opened to the audience for an engaging Q&A session that provided practical answers to the sector’s most pressing questions.
