On Tuesday, 30 June, EuroCham Cambodia’s Automotive Committee brought together industry leaders, government representatives, and investors at Novotel Phnom Penh BKK1 for its Automotive Sector Outlook 2026 and Beyond Breakfast Talk, examining the trends, opportunities, and policy priorities shaping Cambodia’s fast-evolving automotive industry.
The program opened with remarks from EuroCham Executive Director Mr. Martin Brisson and Mr. Bryan Fornari of the EU Delegation, before a sector outlook presentation from Automotive Committee Chairperson Mr. Makara Chhoeurn.
Discussions covered Cambodia’s continued market growth, increasing investment in local vehicle assembly, and the country’s accelerating transition to electric mobility. These opportunities were presented alongside challenges around taxation, market discipline, and conditions for local manufacturing.
A closing panel featuring the Cambodia Investment Board, Skills Development Fund, Toyota Cambodia, and the Cambodia Automotive Industry Federation explored investment trends, workforce readiness, and the policy reforms needed for long-term sector competitiveness.
EuroCham thanks all speakers, panellists, sponsors, and participants for a rich discussion on Cambodia’s automotive future.
