On Monday, 7 July, EuroCham Cambodia and the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) conducted a joint site visit and technical coordination meeting at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port (PAS), bringing together senior government officials, port management, customs authorities, and 12 EuroCham member companies from the Transport and Logistics Committee.
The visit opened with remarks from Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Sun Chanthol and EuroCham Chairperson Mr. Tassilo Brinzer, before moving into a review of ongoing port recommendations and a joint site visit coordinated by PAS management. The session forms part of a sustained track record of engagement across EuroCham’s White Book, the April 2026 Logistics-Led Growth Conference, and the 4th Cambodia-Europe PPSD.
A standout outcome confirmed on the day: the General Department of Customs and Excise has moved to 24/7 operations at PAS, allowing trucks to depart and arrive at any hour and delivering particular benefits during the Thursday-to-Sunday peak period. EuroCham welcomed the measure as a direct result of sustained private sector advocacy and committed to encouraging members to shift cargo movements to off-peak hours to reinforce the change.
Discussions also covered PASNet, the port’s mobile application for streamlined truck and cargo operations, and broader opportunities to reduce logistics costs and improve multimodal connectivity, including rail and expressway usage.
