Real Estate and Construction Committee Meeting – 30 July 2026

Last modified date: 7 Aug 2026

On Thursday, 30 July 2026, led by Mr. Michel Cassagnes, EuroCham Cambodia’s Real Estate & Construction Committee held its Committee Meeting to discuss key topics as below:

During the meeting, the Committee highlighted its recent achievements, including the successful organisation of the Industrial Park & SEZ Forum and the Trust & Asset Breakfast Talk, which together attracted more than 200 participants. Members reviewed participant feedback from both events, noting strong satisfaction levels, and discussed the associated budget to ensure resources were well allocated and future events remain cost-effective.

Members also celebrated a major milestone for Cambodia’s construction sector: in May 2026, the Institute of Standards of Cambodia (ISC) signed a License Agreement with the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for the adoption of more than 50 Eurocodes, with the national adoption process expected to be completed by June 2027. This achievement reflects one of the Committee’s long-standing policy recommendations, first put forward in the 2016 EuroCham White Book.

To mark this milestone, the Committee will host an exclusive dinner on 21 August at Rosewood Phnom Penh for invited representatives of the Royal Government of Cambodia and members of the Real Estate & Construction Committee. The meeting also introduced the details of the upcoming Committee Leadership Elections, scheduled to take place on 17th September 2026. We encourage experienced and committed professionals from EuroCham’s real estate and construction member companies to stand as candidates for the 2026–2028 mandate. The Committee looks forward to welcoming strong leaders who will help shape its future advocacy priorities and continue strengthening the voice of the sector.
