Last week, the Tourism & Hospitality Committee convened for a session hosted by Chairperson Ms. Catherine Germier-Hamel to review the committee’s recent milestones and engage with members.
Reflecting on the 2024–2026 roadmap, the Committee celebrated the successful completion of its core goals. Key achievements include maintaining regular member meetings, attending workshops with key partners such as the Ministry of Tourism and the Cambodia Tourism Board, and signing a MoU with the Cambodia Tourism Federation to jointly support the growth of Cambodia’s tourism sector.
Turning to current industry challenges, the body is actively addressing rising cost pressures that impact local tourism and hospitality businesses. In close collaboration with the Tax and Governance Committee, the Committee is working on a strategic Visa Policy Recommendation to support broader economic and business recovery and is currently engaging directly with relevant government ministries to push this policy forward.
