Last week, EuroCham’s Real Estate & Construction Committee brought together industry leaders, European diplomats, and regulators from the Royal Government of Cambodia to mark the adoption of Eurocodes in Cambodia’s construction landscape.

This achievement has been a long-standing advocacy topic of the Real Estate & Construction Committee, with initial calls for the adoption of these European safety standards coming more than a decade ago. With support from the European Union Delegation to Cambodia and through continued collaboration with the Ministers of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction (MLMUPC), the National Council for Building Technical Regulations (NCBTR), and the Institute of Standards in Cambodia, this represents a significant step towards a safer, more sustainable, and higher-quality construction sector in the Kingdom.

We extend our sincere thanks to the leadership of the European Union Delegation to Cambodia, Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI) and the Institute of Standards of Cambodia (ISC), for their sustained support and meaningful contributions to advancing this important reform.
