On Wednesday, 7 October, EuroCham Cambodia’s Real Estate & Construction Committee participated in the Workshop on Green Building Technical Standards and the Green Building Committee, jointly organised by the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction.
The workshop’s goal was to exchange views on the ministries’ shared objectives and plans for green buildings and explore the integration of the draft Cambodia Guidelines and Certification for Green Buildings with the draft principles of the Cambodia Low-Carbon Building Compliance and Certification Framework. The session also examined the legal aspects of the draft Inter-Ministerial Proclamations on the Implementation of Green Building Technical Standards and on the Establishment of the Green Building Committee.
The workshop provided an opportunity to discuss the practical aspects of implementation, including the development of a unified national green building system and the next steps towards establishing the Green Building Committee and its Secretariat.
