Green Business Committee elects new leadership

The EuroCham Green Business Committee held its first meeting of 2025 to lay the groundwork for the year ahead.

This meeting also served as the occasion to elect a new chairperson following the resignation of Dr. Mike Renfrew. The newly elected chairperson is Mr. Mark Selby from Mekong Strategic Capital.

In his new role, Mr. Selby will guide the committee in advancing access to green finance. With the support of the committee members.

He will also focus on several key initiatives:

Development an Extended producer Responsibility (EPR) scheme in Cambodia

Creating a framework for waste management

Encouraging the greater use of renewable energy

Continuing to monitor and contribute to the Environmental Impact Assassment legal framework

The meeting also provided an opportunity to reflect on the previous Green Biz Forum, assessing areas for improvement in organising the committee’s flagship event for 2025 in terms of both content and format. The forum will return in 2025, and the committee is eager to build on the lessons learned.

Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation to the outgoing chairperson, Dr. Mike Renfrew, for his invaluable support during his tenure, particularly in organising the Green Biz Forum 2025 and his involvement in the first EU-Cambodia Public-Private Sector Dialogue in September 2024.
