On Thursday, 28 August 2025, the EuroCham Human Resources Committee, led by Chairman Mr. CHHEAV Narath, convened to discuss a range of important topics.
Recap of Committee Activities: In the past 8 months, the committee has had a highly productive period, successfully organising the annual HR Forum and HR Hangout. The committee leaders also actively participated in various government events and consultation meetings. To further foster a more open and informal environment for networking, the committee introduced the “HR Monthly Talk” series, which has already seen three editions. Keep an eye out for the next one!
Update on Regulations: In accordance to the Notification No. 024/25, issued by the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MLVT), outlines a special 30-hour certification course for HR professionals with over three years of experience. This year, the training is provided free of charge for the first participant from each company.
Education Working Group: The committee reviewed a recent survey that highlighted key challenges in the local workforce including; limited job-ready technical skills, weak soft skills, and a lack of practical experience among graduates. Three core objectives has been defined including: enhancing soft skills, improving collaboration between companies and universities, and boosting the quality of vocational training.
Study in Europe 2025: During the meeting, EuroCham also took the opportunity to briefly introduce the upcoming “Study in Europe 2025” fair, an event organized by the European Union Delegations. The committee is exploring potential collaboration to contribute a session on the specific skills that European companies in Cambodia look for, helping to better align student aspirations with the needs of the labour market.
