On 13 March, the Automotive Committee leadership convened a meeting with the Advocacy Team to discuss strategic priorities and planned activities for the remainder of the year.
The discussion focused on strengthening policy engagement, enhancing industry representation, and aligning upcoming initiatives with key challenges facing the automotive sector in Cambodia.
The meeting began with deliberations on critical issues currently affecting the automotive industry, particularly concerns related to unfair competition arising from parallel imports, as well as evolving regulatory frameworks. The leaders highlighted the need for a more level playing field and clearer enforcement mechanisms and aligned on key issues to push for during the next Public–Private Sector Dialogue with the Royal Government of Cambodia.
To maintain engagement and build momentum within the sector, the Committee is planning to organise a Breakfast Talk on the Automotive Outlook during Q2 2026. This event aims to provide stakeholders with timely updates on recent regulatory developments, market trends, and policy directions impacting the automotive industry. It will also serve as a platform for dialogue between private sector representatives, policymakers, and industry experts, fostering greater awareness and collaboration.
