The 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 held its 3rd Committee meeting of the year to discuss significant automotive-related topics and the 2023 White Book, before its official launch, in the upcoming “ASEAN-Cambodia Business Summit”, on 28-29 September. The following topics were discussed:
The 2023 White Book Edition will include 5 recommendations for its Automotive Chapter
⁃ Data on Vehicle Registrations
⁃ Harmonisation of Docket Price Tables
⁃ Customs Value for Vehicles for Personal Use
⁃ Use of New Vehicles
⁃ Application of New Safety Standards
The Committee also discussed the concerns linked to the departure of multiple car brands from Cambodia. The Committee plans to address these significant challenges in the automotive industry and will shortly take additional action on this matter.
The Committee’s next move will be the publication of the 2023 White Book and a round of discussions with the newly formed Royal Government of Cambodia.
