Duration: 1 hour
On Thursday, 25 June, EuroCham Cambodia hosted the Tax Forum 2026 at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra, bringing together more than 150 tax professionals, business leaders, government officials, and advisors for a full day of expert dialogue on Cambodia’s evolving tax landscape.
The forum opened with welcome remarks from EuroCham Executive Director Mr. Martin Brisson and a presentation on the White Book 2027 Taxation Chapter by Tax Committee Vice-Chairperson Ms. Linda Oum, followed by opening remarks from H.E. Mrs. Bun Neary, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Taxation (GDT). The White Book 2027 was then formally presented to the Deputy Director.
The morning session focused on Cambodia’s economic formalisation agenda, with a presentation from the development sector before a panel discussion bringing together voices from the GDT, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the World Bank, and EuroCham.
The afternoon moved into two parallel breakout tracks, each combining a focused presentation with a panel discussion and live Q&A. The first round covered Capital Gains Tax and Double Taxation Agreements, while the second addressed Gold Taxpayer Status and updates on Director Salaries and Shareholder Premium — four of the most requested topics in Cambodian taxation.
EuroCham extended its sincere thanks to sponsors CamEd Business School, Bun & Associates, and DFDL Cambodia along with all participants, speakers, and government representatives whose engagement made the day such a success. The Tax Forum continues to serve as one of EuroCham’s most valuable platforms for structured public-private dialogue on tax reform in Cambodia.
