EuroChamโ€™s Healthcare Committee, along with private sector representatives, had the pleasure of meeting ๐Œ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐’๐ฉ๐จ๐ค๐ž๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง ๐š๐ง๐ ๐’๐ž๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐ญ๐š๐ซ๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐‡.๐„. ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐Ž๐ซ ๐•๐š๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐ž on 22 March to discuss areas of cooperation for the future.

As Her Excellency noted, the Covid-19 pandemic has largely subsided and there is room to look towards other important issues on the horizon, including promoting investment in healthcare in the Kingdom and tackling substandard and falsified products.

She also encouraged the private sector to continue pushing for a digitalization of services and products to make processes more streamlined and transparent.

An overarching goal, the Secretary of State said, is to raise the average life expectancy of Cambodians while offering improved preventative and treatment services. Concerning curbing the supply of substandard and falsified goods in the industry, H.E. Dr. Vandine called on all stakeholders to take action, including suppliers, as it would take a team effort to tackle the issue.

Ms. Pech mentioned the importance of the upcoming Pharmaceutical Law to the sector as well as collaborative efforts to the health care skills gap, among other issues.
