Last modified date: 22 Aug 2025

Duration: 1 hour

On Monday 11th August 2025, EuroCham’s Garment and Manufacturing Committee held a meeting. The committee convened to address four key topics: recent market developments related to U.S. tariff, the implications of the Thailand-Cambodia border closure on the labor market, the committee’s strategic priorities for 2025–2026, and preparations for the 3rd Public-Private Sector Dialogue between Cambodia and the European Union.

On matters of advocacy, the members discussed how the committee could increase the ease of exporting to adhere to new tariff regimes and prepare for post LDC graduation. Export license processes and certificate of origins were key issues raised.

The committee also explored further advocacy efforts related to responsible business, including Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSH), on which Eurocham will host an event later this year.

Finally the committee started to brainstorm on the Annual Global Textile Summit held in Cambodia.
