On Friday, 20 February, EuroCham’s Garment and Manufacturing Committee held a leadership meeting to discuss and plan the Committee’s key priorities for the year.
A notable initiative discussed is the introduction of financial literacy workshops led by the Committee’s Vice-Chairperson, Ms. Molika Meas from iCare Benefits. The program aims to equip factory workers with essential financial management skills and promote smarter spending habits. The Committee also plans to share evaluation data to demonstrate the impact of these activities.
A key highlight in the Committee’s upcoming agenda will be the Cambodia Textile Summit 2026, scheduled for June. The forum is a joint initiative with EuroCham partners and counterparts including the ILO, TAFTAC, Better Factories Cambodia, and GIZ, focusing on collaborative discussions surrounding Cambodia’s textile and garment sector. Ahead of the forum, the Committee leadership also plans to organise the bi-annual brand meeting to explore key topics relevant to the industry.
Additionally, the leaders reviewed and updated the Committee’s action plan to ensure it remains relevant, actionable, and aligned with the sector’s evolving needs.
