[Garment & Manufacturing Committee Elects New Leaders and Discuss Industry Trends]
On Thursday 22, EuroCham’s Garment & Manufacturing Committee held a second meeting of the year to elect new leadership and address pressing industry issues. Key topics included:
-The implications of recent social unrest in Bangladesh on Cambodia’s garment sector
-Reviewed the ongoing negotiations for a new minimum wage, where EuroCham holds a representative seat
– Upcoming committee Initiatives include the launch of the fourth edition of the sector brief and the organisation of the GFT Responsible Business Awards, scheduled for November 22nd.
To ensure continuity and progress, the committee re-elected the following leaders:
– Chairman: Mr. Emerald Am, Country Manager of LABS Foundation
– Vice-Chair: Mrs. Molika Meas, Co-Founder and Group CEO of iCare Benefits
– Vice-Chair: Mr. Yik Thong Choon, TAFTAC representative
