On Friday, 6 March, the EuroCham Green Business Committee held its first hybrid leadership meeting of the year. The meeting aimed to review the committee’s activities in 2025 and outline priorities and action plans for 2026.

Over the past year, the committee has actively addressed key topics in the green sector, including the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemeRenewable Energy Certificates (REC), the green economy, and sustainable waste management. These issues were discussed through consultative and technical meetings with relevant ministries and stakeholders. Among them, REC has emerged as one of the most significant developments, with strong implications for the future of sustainable business operations in Cambodia.

Looking ahead, the committee has developed a solid action plan for 2026, which marks the final year of its current mandate. Planned initiatives include:
  • Quarterly Green Business Talks Edition 2: Electrifying Commercial Fleets (30 April, 2026)
  • Continued engagement with relevant ministries on Renewable Energy Certificates (REC)
The Green Business Committee remains committed to supporting the development of Cambodia’s green economy and promoting a more competitive and sustainable business environment.
