The Healthcare Committee recently held its first meeting since the election of its new Co-chair, Dr. Elias Engelking. The discussion centered on upcoming initiatives, with a key focus on digital health innovation.

A primary objective for the committee is the preparation of policy papers addressing the legal implications for E-Health platforms. Recognising that current regulations aren’t keeping pace with the speed of innovation, the committee plans to take a proactive approach in collaboration with the Royal Government to foster digital health advancements. This includes developing standards, notably via regulatory sandboxes, to support the evolving landscape of digital healthcare.

Looking ahead, the committee is also planning the 2025 Edition of the Healthcare Forum. This event will be driven by the theme of digitalisation in healthcare, aiming to bring together regional expertise and all relevant stakeholders. The ultimate goal is to work towards making universal healthcare accessibility a reality.
