On Friday, 13 March, the Transport and Logistics Committee held its first meeting of the year.
Mr. Suy Bunthan, Chairperson of the Committee, provided an overview of the Committee’s recent initiatives, covering key areas such as logistics infrastructure development, customs system improvements, regulatory updates, and key issues raised during Public–Private Sector Dialogues (PPSD).
He also shared progress updates achieved following the PPSD, highlighting tangible improvements driven by government efforts and close collaboration with EuroCham and relevant stakeholders. These include faster clearance times, enhanced productivity, and reduced costs in customs-related processes.
Building on this year of consultations with key stakeholders and the Royal Government of Cambodia, the Committee has finalised its Policy Paper on the Autonomous Port of Sihanoukville (PAS). The paper provides recommendations aimed at alleviating congestion at the port and improving overall operational efficiency. It will be included in the White Book 2026: Transport and Logistics Chapter.
The Committee also announced its upcoming conference, “Delivering Logistics-Led Growth,” co-hosted with the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC). The conference will provide updates on current regulations, as well as the latest logistics reforms and infrastructure developments in Cambodia.
