On Monday, February 5th, 2024, the EuroCham Real Estate and Construction Committee held their first meeting of the year to discuss real estate-related issues:
During the previous meeting held on Monday, December 12th, 2023, the members of the REC Committee had a courtesy meeting with H.E. Mr. Say Samal, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction. In the meeting, both parties addressed concerns regarding land management and affordable housing. As a result, the Committee is interested in establishing a closer collaboration with the Ministry, starting with the amendment of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The REC committee members discussed the Tall Building Forum 2024, which is scheduled to be held on Thursday, 30th May 2024, in Phnom Penh. This forum is unique because it will have a regional scope and is also scheduled to be organised two days earlier in Ho-Chi-Minh City, Vietnam before the actual event in Phnom Penh. The discussion will cover Tall Buildings and Urban Planning, AI’s impact on Tall Buildings, and the latest High-rise technologies.
