On Monday, 4th of December 2023, EuroCham REC Committee held its last committee meeting of the year 2023 to mainly discuss on the organisation of the flagship event of the Committee: the Tall Building Forum.
This meeting was the occasion to discuss the first actions taken by the Committee with the new structure of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction. Indeed EuroCham has a MoU with the MLMUPC, the committee will take advantage of the MoU to try working on the topic of Green Building Certification and the adoption of the EuroCode.
One of the topic that the committee has been advocating, is the ban of the Asbestos, and this has been raised in the last edition of the White Book. It has been announced by the Government, the total ban of Asbestos for 2025.
The Members mainly discussed on the organisation of Tall Building Forum 2024. This event will have the particularity to have a regional scope, as this event will be organize with the support of the Construction Committee of EuroCham Vietnam. The tentative date is set for the Thursday 29th February 2024. More details to come soon.
The next step for the Committee will be the organization of a courtesy meeting with the New Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, His Excellency Say Samal.
