Eurocham Tax Committee looks ahead and plans for 2025.

The Tax Committee met on December 10, 2024 to prepare for 2025 and discuss upcoming regulations related to taxation in Cambodia. For the coming year, the Tax Committee aims to support the organisation of the 2025 Tax Forum, alongside a series of events designed to inform the private sector about regulatory changes and how they can comply.

In line with this, the committee will continue to share regulatory updates through the EuroCham Newsletter’s Advocacy corner. Additionally, the committee will update its recommendations addressed to the Royal Government of Cambodia regarding taxation.

The meeting also included discussions on key upcoming regulations, including Tax Obligation for Domestic Suppliers Offering Compliemtary Goods or Prizes, addressing tax on items given for free in marketing activities. Other topics related to International Waterways Transportation, outlining tax obligations for logistics companies and customs clearance agents, and an instruction on Tax Liability Responsibilities for Business Transfers, Share Transfers, and Mergers, specifically concerning whether share premiums are subject to tax.
