On Thursday 27 August, EuroCham attended a consultation workshop organised by the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC) at Shangri-La Hotel Phnom Penh, bringing together representatives from relevant ministries and institutions, the private sector, and other stakeholders.
The workshop focused on three key draft Prakas:
- Draft Prakas on the National Radio Frequency Spectrum Plan
- Draft Prakas on Technical Standards of Telecommunications Equipment
- Draft Prakas on Type Approval and Conformity Assessment of Telecommunications Equipment
The workshop included technical presentations and group discussions on each draft Prakas, providing stakeholders with an opportunity to exchange views and provide feedback on the proposed regulatory measures.
In parallel to this, EuroCham shared the draft Prakas with members of our Digital & Technology Committee for their review and feedback, as part of our continued efforts to facilitate private-sector engagement and contribute constructive input to regulatory developments affecting Cambodia’s telecommunications sector.
