EuroCham and its committee leaders visited the Ministry of Commerce for a courtesy call with Minister of Commerce ๐.๐. ๐๐ซ๐ฌ. ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฅ and her staff on 3rd November, with both sides showing enthusiasm for a collaborative approach to issues in several sectors.

After an opening message by Chairman ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฅ๐จ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ณ๐๐ซ, Executive Director ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง presented the White Book 2024, the Business Confidence Survey, and the Advocacy Compass as collaborative and useful tools for the MoC to consider. Services Coordinator ๐๐๐ญ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ฐ ๐๐จ๐๐จ๐๐ค noted the importance of developing effective trade policies to grow businesses, before Automotive Committee Vice-Chairman ๐๐ฃ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ฌ๐๐ง discussed the importance of addressing unauthorised distributors in the industry.
Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Committee Chairman ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ง ๐๐ง๐ highlighted the importance of consumer protection in the industry, and Digital & Technology Committee Chairman ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ค๐จ๐ซ๐ง๐ฒ discussed the development of e-commerce in Cambodia before Garment & Manufacturing Committee Chairman ๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฆ concluded with talking about the efforts needed to turn Cambodia into a better sourcing destination.
Subsequent meetings were planned to work on some of the above-mentioned issues, including a meetingย to discuss unauthorised imports in the auto sector.ย
